hey guys... help me decide...

my buddy that owns a 10w6 with the HO box, wants to trade me w/ my 12w6 JL spec box....

i really want to test it out.... i probably will...

it's a straight trade.

 

A sing 10 for a Single 12?

id do it if you like 10's. them HO boxes are neat and designed nicely

 

they say that the 10 in h.o box would sound like a single 12...but i dont know if its true...
but if u want more punch get the 10

 

why would you trade a 10 for a 12 ???? the box doesnt even matter. i can build you a box that will smoke that ghay HO box like nothing.

 

Keep your 12W6. If great SQ AND high output is your goal then look into the W7 (or many other excellent and cheaper alternatives).
If excellent SQ are your goal then you should have it with the 12W6.

 

are you wanting to trade because of a size issue or what? cause if you have there sq box that thing sounds absolutly awsome in comparison to the ho box. of course it just depends on what you enjoy listening to; if you like nice clear bass extention stick with the box you have.

 

i really love my 12w6... i'm gonna give the 10w6 a try in my car first....

i don't think the 10 would sound as good as the 12... but u never know...

i've grown out of the LOUD bass... what i crave is for SQ... (even thought that can never happen with my civic)... haha

 

i'd take a 10 over a 12 any day
and the mad pounding bass that was something i did 20 years ago
now i appreciate quality over quantity
