Question Kicker DX700 problems...

Ok....i recently had my amp fry...my second RF T3002...terrible story, mouse got into my jeep while i had it parked over the last few months, made a nest on top of my amp, and pissed on it, it leaked onto teh circuit board of it some how, didnt know this when i turned it on, and ya...fried...

but that is not my problem, just a terrible luck story, lol. anyways, my problem lies with my Kicker dx700. since the T3002 fried i decided to use my dx700. hooked it all up...all mouse things were vacuum/cleaned out thoroughly, and powered it up. problem is that as soon as it receives power, it instantly goes into protect mode. even if it is or is not hooked up to the sub...as soon as it gets power it goes into protect. now the weird part is, its does it like 90% of the time, sometimes it will run fine, but this is only very rarely.

so what i am wondering is if anyone out there knows of this issue or have experienced this. and yes everything is properly hooked up, double and triple checked. running 4ga wire to the amp, not cuts in it at all, the fuses on the amp are good and not blown, checked with a multi meter and its receiving proper power levels, and the sub its powering is only a little 15" mtx (little because its only 200rms), so the amp is turned down. but even without out the sub hooked up it will go into protect.

deck is an eclipse cd5000, sub it mtx rt-1504? something like that....

any and all info/ideas would be a huge help, thanks

.............and sorry about the novel

Disconnect the rca cables and see if it is going into protection. If it still is, start looking at the ground wire. If it is solid then you have a problem with the amp, the magic smoke that makes it work has gone on strike.
