ok, im just curious, wat can the cops actually do to u if they think your causing to much noise or w/e there reasoning is....as of right know i have an 05 10" clarion in like 1 cubic feet in my firebird running off an orion 2500d, not anywhere neer full power. and suposedly sunday i was "drawing attention" to myself in a parking lot i dont remember being in. my moms boyfreinds brother is a cop and was the partner to the other cop who alegedly ran my plates and assumed it was stolen because for the reason of me not having money the cars in my moms name. but he recognizedc my moms name and told him it wasnt stolen and to leave it. he then called my moms b/f and told him to tell me to watch out because there have "suposedly" be complaints all over durham region and suposedly 3/4's of the force is on a mission to pull me over for anything....so theres my rant anyways....so thats why i ask, wat can they actually do?....they really have no reason to pull me over, my cars legal and i rarely drive over 10 over except in the boonies on roads i know....so yea, if u guys/girls have any ideas from personal experiences that would be great, thnx

YA know what pisses me off is when those friggen harley motorbikes go flyin by a cop and nothing is done but if a cop drives buy one of us listening to loud music, we get pulled over and harassed and possibly ticketed.
Those bikes make more noise than most of our stereos.

A noise violation ticket can be given just as easy for a stock stereo.
Noise violations are given out mostly when a complaint has been made against the individual (ie. loud music in a residential area or parking lot with surrounding houses).
If you drive around town blasting loud music it is annoying to everyone. So are loud motorcycles and other vehicles.
I would not say vehicles with loud music are targeted any more than loud exhaust (ie. see above where I stated most tickets are given because of complaints) but remember that a noise violation is an excuse to pull someone over to check for other offences. And if someone is blaring their music it is likely bothering other people so why not pull them over and see why it is they feel the need to annoy people in general.
Don't think I am taking sides but it's just that I can see valid points from both sides here and personally I don't play my music loud around town because I know how annoying it is to be siiting at the lights and have to listen to the loud vehicle beside me.

Man the cop's must really hate music. Heck i drive by the cop shop all the time with my music blaring. It's the only way to go for a sluch run. The only thing's i have been pulled over for is stunting and not wearing a seat belt. both time's i had my music blaring. Mabye the cop's here are just really laid back.
