Lead is bad. Help required.
#1
One of the leads on my PA is slightly damaged. I think the wire inside is broken or something ?
How can I fix this ?
Do i need to solder a new one on or something ? Or is there an easy way to fix this problem ?
(sub works fine sometimes, but cuts out and I have to move the lead/cone to make it start up again.
Thanks

It could be a short in the VC like DW said... more then likely it's a short in the tinsel lead, though...
If it's under the basket, before the cone.... Just soldier it back up, and hopefully it stays fixed... you can also try replacing that section of lead...
If the short is under the dustcap inside the speaker you will need to tear it down to fix it...
FYI, you may want to see if PA can fix it, or send you a 'recone kit'....
Email me if you want more help, or if you'd like me to look at it...
