Carputer in raised floor of trunk ...

Carputer ->

M-AUDIO Firewire 410 8 Channel ->

2x JL Audio CL-RLC for remote bass and treble control ->

symbilink -> Zapco dc360.4 -> bi-amp ID csx65 components
symbilink -> Zapco dc500.1 -> IDQ V3 12" sub in sealed box made by reino...

No power inverters used, clean dc-dc regulators for pc power, running for over one year, no major issues. Absolutely no hiss outside of source.

So Far....

Headunit - Pioneer Premier DEH -P690UB
Mids - ID OEM (in door)
Sub - ID Q12D4V3

Still looking for a good 6 1/2" component set for the front end and an amp. Might go with the Soundstream Granite 180.6 I have and blow it up after that probably go with an ARC audio 5 channel.

Actually , my setup seems to like the winter more than the summer....

only real winter issue is the lcd is very dim until the cabin warms up...

during the summer, however i had to make sure the trunk got ac or my psu would shut down at 60 degrees C to protect itself...

my car, mazda millenia has a double din in the dash, i put a xenarc vga touch screen there, but most of my control is done through a **** type thing like bmw idrive, much faster and you can keep eyes on road..

yeah, 250gb laptop drive, lots of mp3, flac and wavs..

i've got a slot load cdrom upfront just in case a friend wants to hear a cd, or rip a new cd etc...but 99% of the time it's off the hd.

If theres alot of interest maybe I should open carpc thread?

I'm actually sitting im my car typing this, I'm tethering my smartphone for internet access on my carpc... don't worry I'm parked :-)
