dude...just a simple check of any decent car audio company's site will give you 4ch amps that have way more than 45 watts /ch. Example, Alpine's pdx 4150...150x4 at 2 or 4ohms, RF has a few, but let's use the power t8004...50x4 at 4ohms, and 200 x4 at 1ohm, JBL's Px300.4 (older model) 123.5 x4 at 4ohms or 180 x 4 at 2ohms. There are literally hundreds of 4channel amps that produce more than 45 watts x4. Secondly, any shop that tells you that 4x6's are the way to go....run!

ya, thats definitly a bunch of bullshit. I myself am not a fan of clarion, just because they're products havent seemed to hold up in the installs ive done, but about the 4ch amp is a load of crap lol, i think its kind of funny, a four channel amp may range from 40w rms to 150 rms ussually unless you want to spend a ton then theres bigger, but an amp with like 75w rms will be plently loud and sound amazing if tuned right.

Your problem is you went to a sterio shop, you should have gone to a stereo shop!

99.9% of all dealers are full of it.its called salesmanship LOL
do your own research.find what you want and go from there.Ask around to people to give a demo of there system.
Tell you one thing the best type of dealer is one that in some cases point you elsewhere for gear you need or want. This is a dealer to stick with!

you said you are new to this so do some demos of systems to find what you like as you don`t want to get something and change it right away because its not up to your like.
