the SSA Icons are awsome sounding even at the lowest volume levels
I have tested these subs with over 3x the rated RMS and they stay
crystal clear thru all power levels
the four 10" Icons I was running were just jaw dropping
143.6db @ 10hz and peaked at 147db @ 27hz with four 10" Icons on 3200w rms
really insane flat response in my Hybrid Horn to...only a 3DB variance
from 10hz up to the 63hx x-over point

the new Xcons hit like a mother fkr but I can't give an honest opinion
untill I'm done testing them but WOW!!...
even in the undersized chambers (test box #1 is 3.50cf3 per 15" sub)
I may have to pull two subs out and go with two....they are wrecking my minivan...LOL

Kicker subs do not belong in the same sentence as SQ

are kickers really only good for getting loud? i keep hearing they're not "SQ" subs, but i've never had someone prove why thats true. can someone explain why kickers suck in terms of SQ? sorry for jacking your thread King-Kong
