There are purists around here who will debate the merits of wiring the coils in series and the drivers in parallel as a 4ohm mono load on that amp. I have never heard a difference, but there are a couple of advantages electrically....

It must be an age thing tho.... ....having started doing car audio in an era when having 200 watts total for a car was a serious system, I have to shake my head at the fact that it is taken for granted that having 1.2Kw of bass in a car would be enough.....but not a crazy system....

God I love my toys.....

i once had the hk1397 which is the exact same as what you got. I use to run 3 18's off the one amp. the subs where wired down to around .90 ohms and the amp ran with no probs. No clipping or over heating. Great amp tho.

Really? Well maybe I'll give it a try yet. I'm tryin to set up a night I can meet up with my buddy to borrow the amp for a bit. I'll definitly try both setups.
