There are purists around here who will debate the merits of wiring the coils in series and the drivers in parallel as a 4ohm mono load on that amp. I have never heard a difference, but there are a couple of advantages electrically....

It must be an age thing tho....

....having started doing car audio in an era when having 200 watts total for a car was a serious system, I have to shake my head at the fact that it is taken for granted that having 1.2Kw of bass in a car would be enough.....but not a crazy system....

God I love my toys.....

i once had the hk1397 which is the exact same as what you got. I use to run 3 18's off the one amp. the subs where wired down to around .90 ohms and the amp ran with no probs. No clipping or over heating. Great amp tho.
