i hear the best wood is 3/4" MDF. and then sealing the corners using polyurethane.

i heard something about putting fiberglass resin on the insides of the box, but i went to home depot and they didnt know what it was.. where would i get it ?

anyone have any other secrets?

I'm pretty sure you can buy resin at the Parts Source on St. Laurent.

The Bank St. store probably has it as well if it's closer to you.

If you're not looking to compete in SPL competitions though, I wouldn't bother with the resin.

ya the resin is unecessary i think. and 3/4 is the most commonly used material for boxes, its cheap and it does work very well.
