Unhappy Midrange search.....

Ok guys, I'm currently putting my ride up and my system addition will be part of it. H/U, Sub & Amp has all been selected and now I'm currently auditioning comp sets. I wanna run about 4 sets up front, so that's 4 speakers per door (But my system design will vary depending on the speaker i select). I'm into SQL, and listen to mainly dancehall, hip hop, soca. My previous systems included 12" EVs and Black widows running as my midrange, however in this setup i want it to look very clean, and elegant.
So far I have auditioned only Hertz Audio and Focal. The Hertz Space really caught my eye, (bought a pair some time ago but sold it) and also the Focal K2P. It's not a fair comparism, as the Hertz was being fed by a Zapco Reference 1000.4 and the Focal by an Audison SrX 3 channel (not sure of the model) but it was getting only around 25 Rms. Both sounded really nice, space had better midbass, but the focal was comparitively loud for what it was getting.

Anyway, here's where i need the help.1/ Which other Brands/Models should i look into? (I am going to audition Dyna audio, Morel, Boston Acoustics very soon). And 2/Which set of CDT audio models is compariable to the mid range reproduction of the Focal K2Ps? (I can't find a dealer to audition them).

I'm not looking for lots of midbass, so please recommend stuff that has some serious mids. All help and referals are welcomed. Oh yeah, I live in Mississauga, but I'm willing to check out any stores in the GTA or nearby environs. Thanx for all your help guys...................

if you're looking at DIY stuff, you could check out Seas and Scan-Speak.
