Modding amps?

Hey, i think on one of these forum's i read something abmout modding amps?. Does anyone have a link that i can read up on it. I'm very good with electronics and if i could modd some amps it would be kinda cool. Like are u modding the componets. Like larger transisters and stuff?.

what is it that you want to change???
Some ppl add larger cap's in the power supply in hopes to increase headroom/stability into low impedance loads.... (generally more in home audio)
Mostly, you hear about modded car amps, and they just re-wrapped the transformers in the power supply so the amp is making more voltage/less current or vica-versa to change the load it can make full power into....
If that's the case I would suggest using a (homemade) autoformer (or whatever they are called- they are a transformer after the amp) instead of messing with your poor amplifier....
