more abc box questions

ive done a search on the abc boxes. but im still not sure how to tune it. i am trying to build one for a punch hx2 8". i see that dukk uses 1.5 cubic ft, so thats the size im going to try. but do i tune the ports for 1 cubic foot or 1.5 cubes?and when im using the port calculator do i calculate for 1 port or 2?i want to tune it to 30 hz-35hz. thanks

You would tune it for 1.5cuft with two vents.
35hz is the bottom limit for a box that size and you would be limited to 2.5" pipe at 12.5" long each. You could probably move up to 40hz and use 2.5" pipe at 9" long or 3" pipe at 13.5" long with no real detrimental effect.
That box is very large for an HX2 8 but it gets tough making an ABC much smaller. Luckily a 10 will work in that box too (with the 3" vents) so I would try and make sure I could open the hole up for a 10 in the future [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]
