More bass for jeep
2006 Jeep Tj
Looking for some info (need more bass)
When the top is on system sounds good, but take the top off and bass is gone.....
Using Alpine, Amp MRP-M850, Sub SWR-1042D
Would like info on the best set up 2 subs and box that will fit with the back seat in as amps are mounted under seat.........
Have heard JL works the best in small boxes if true what is best.............

or maybe a single 15 with 1000rms with all seats in?...lol
box carpet is kinda scrappy cuz my bro didnt want to pay to over it so i used some scrap carpet to do the best i could...lol
i know its not the 2 sub idea u had, but it works and its nice and loud.
just thought id throw another option out there

(3) RF P3 shallows sealed with about 1000w RMW would be the ticket.

My hot ticket in Jeeps has always been to use a pair of 10s and fire them down at the floor. I would recess the baffle so it was 1.5inch from the floor at the tailgate, 3-4" off the floor at the seat, and have it so all the sound funnelled under the back seat. The bass would load off the floor and be much more consistent, even with the top off. A possible side benefit is getting some air moving around the amps under the seat.
