For what it is worth.. I have yet to see any 6.5" either provide the output of, or use a substantially smaller enclosure than, a competent 8". I have played with and own some really nice 6.5s and they do a good job for what they are but an 8 outperforms them with ease.

They're listed at $144CA. I know an 8" will perform better, as will a 10", 12" or 15" but as of right now my goal is more of a discrete install rather than sheer volume/depth. I'll certainly aim for a couple of 8's over a couple 6.5's if I/my installer can easiliy/neatly squeeze them in but otherwise these look to fit the bill.
