My boss'es new project

He's designing (or perfecting I should say) his new large power home amp. And while designing the power supply for it he
was getting these 250W resistors hot enough to burn his desk...

So I'm called in to build this beast






I called dibs on being the tester for the amp when it's done! Maybe I'll have to take it home and try it out over a long period of time...

Yeah it's kindof nuts. We have a bunch more resistors kicking around here somewhere but that was the biggest piece of scrap heatsink I could find and only 9 would fit on it so thats as many as he got.

It was a pain in the *** to build that sucker, 36 holes to drill and tap through 1/4" Aluminum... but to turned out good. Plus ontop of that throw in 1/2 a tube of thermo-grease... fun stuff.

heh, I just use 10watt resistors in a jar of distilled water... I hear (castor) oil also works.. [img]graemlins/dunno.gif[/img]
