my deck wont play Tragically hip :'(

how come my deck will play everything other than tragically hip? It detects the songs fine, but when they are trying to play no sound comes out for about 10 seconds then it goes onto the next song

my deck --> Premier CD Receiver with Full-Dot OEL Display - iPod Cable Included: DEHP600UB

well, logic would dictate that you try the disc or some other source. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the Tragically Hip. Check the source file, it may be protected somehow, or the bit rate may be to low to play as most decks have a limit with regards to bit rate, and sampling frequency. I remember having a song on my ipod, that would just screech when it came up...it was just too low of a bit rate to play.

the bitrate is 256, how do i check if it is protected or not though? thats kinda what i was thinking, but i thought they stopped making media players and stuff that would regulate if it protected or not

Try playing the file from the usb drive while it's inserted in your computer. Does that work? If not, do you still have the original file on your computer? Does that play fine? If not the file is probably corrupted.
