need help

Hi guys...
I Have a new Clarion PXW1251 12" DVC 2ohm 1000wpeak /500wrms on a Kenwood KAC-7205 2ch 1000wpeak /500wrms.

But my amp is often on protect mode because it't to hot....
My sub is wired with 8gauche wire.

Can you guys tell me what Amp would be good to drive my sub?
And if possible under 400$

Thx

Are u running the amp bridged? Do u have your voice coils run parallel or series? U have 8g power and ground wires, Grounded tightly to bare metal?

Pretty much every brand makes a 500rms 1ohm stable class D amp. U could use your 2ch to run front speakers if there's no problem with it. U shouldn't have an issue finding 500 watts for under $400.

Try sanding the surface around the stud that the ring terminal sits on. It could be part of the issue. Worth a try anyway.

Check your local retailers for a 1ohm stable monoblock if u end up needing to replace. Most brand name amps will do what u want and make the power that they claim.
