Well that other post is common as the factory speakers are a low power handling high efficency speaker engineer to match the factory interior and HU. So you may still loose abit as replacement speakers always perform better with aftermarket HU's and more so when powered with an amp. Also if at first they don't seem to be putting out much bass or as much as you like, they will just like a sub need a break in period and will loosen up and once done the break in may produce abit more lows as time moves on.

The speakers you bought are really quite good but a 5.25 is not going to keep up with a 6x8. It only has roughly half the cone area.

as i mentioned before, you got a great deal, install included.
Why are you still asking questions?

You won't get better sound by just replacing speakers. You probably won't get as much volume. factory systems are made to match.

If you want to go about it the right way, replace the whole system, completely.

^ I'm not so sure there. I still recommend people replace the speakers in their car first off. The speakers are still the weakest link of the factory systems.

Round better then ovale: What you need to concern yourself with is overall cone area for your base...and you lost some going from 6x8 to your components and coaxials. Components and coaxs do nothing for base, thats usually why you always see 6x9 or similar in stock systems to add some low end.

I think the most important thing you didnt take into account is the fact that your components are rated for 90watts rms... You will get almost no output from those off a factory HU; no base and no volume. Get an amp or get different speakers.

Not to mention those things wont bolt right up to your factory holes, so fabrication will be necessary.
