a couple people gave me someone msn, that says he can help me. i've chatted with him for a while now, and am now gonna wait on my subs for now, and gonna do the components first. no point adding some base if my components suck. i'll be posting what he told me in the components section "if theres one" lol. i know nothing about audio so i'd like for you guys to double check and give me your 2 cents
thanks for all the replies guys

edit: i'm not shur where else to put this so.....

i've been talking to some guy that owns an audio shop. and i was asking him what would be one of the best components that would fit the mr2 with no modification. at first he told me that the best components that i can get are morels but the tweets won't fit the stock location and that i'd have to use bondo to get them to fit properly. then he told me that i should get

Front: ECLIPSE SC8254 CAR AUDIO 5 1/4" 2WAY COMPONENT SPEAKERS
Rear: ECLIPSE SP5000 5.25" 5 1/4" 2 way Car Speakers
amp: PIONEER PREMIER PRS-D4100F 1200w 4 ch CAR AMPLIFIER AMP or the new jbl amp "smaller"

what you guys think?

edit: i just checked online for the actually box for the pioneer shallow subs, and it shows that its 27 3/4". and the mr2 only have about 20 1/2". the rest of the box would of been good. so now i'm guessing that since i have to shorten the width, i'm gonna have to make it a lil higher

also, is there a difference between the TS-SW1041D and TS_SW2541D??

alright thanks, i guess i'll stick with the premier's then.
about the zx10, imo i'd go with a r1 or cbr1000rr over the zx10. i really love the ninja's but for some reason, i don't like driving my buddies zx10, i guess its just too bulky for my liking.
thanks again for you help and everyone else, now i just need some components and a couple amps

I have a 06 zx10 and the new 08 CbR1000, There is something I don't like about the Kawi, I guess the best way to put it is that it is Souless..Hope that helps,go ride them before you buy if u haven't.

On the other hand, my 08 Cbr1000 is absolutely, hands down, without a doubt, the BEST LITER BIKE I HAVE EVER RIDDEN ....

You may not love the looks as they seem to be a love /hate type of bike ...but if you ride one you will understand why it has been called the best 1000 ever made .Period.

Oh, I have been riding for over 15 years, have owned all the bad boys, including Gixxer 100o with JE pistons etc. that was making 180 to the rear wheel, and I still say the Honda is absolutely friggin amazing. I just go out to the garage to stare at her. The bike looks way better once you get a fender eliminator, exhaust etc...... Anyway, look at all the reviews and it will become clear what an *** kicking awesomely fun ride the cbr is.And good luck with whatever you buy, they are all so close , and I have ridden ALL the new 1000's...but the Honda really is just amazing...I am actually surprised at just how much I like it and how good it is to ride...

Sorry to jack, but I just love Sportbikes and once I get going it's over.

Oh, PS, my old Gixxer was in Superstreetbike a few years ago...... fyi.

I am actually a little disapointed in my Kawi , seeing as it was supposed to be so badass etc. in 06...... just really is not that fun of a bike.... Oh well, it's sold in 2 weeks anyway, more money for mods to the CBR!!!

Later G.

Back on topic now,

I personally would go with Alpine PDX amps, don't let the haters tell you the same horror stories they all spew about alpine. They are small, easy on your alternator, and have plenty of power. Read the reviews on the 150.4 , it's a nice amp. I have a couple running from my w-200/pxa-h701 processor, to Diamond Components and I can tell you they are great. And I love when dudes wanna hate! They will also make for a lot easier install seeing as they are tiny. And go with your 205 quite nicely.... Anyway, at least look into it. Alpine is nice no matter what anyone wants to say. I personally wouldn't touch Kenwoood .... I think that is lame. Flame suit on.

BTW, if you do go that route, and are looking for some 6.5 comps, I have a set of type x and also a set of Focals for sale....... Both in box and used about 3 months. I am ru nning Diamonds and opposite of that U2 song "I HAVE found what I'm looking for" ....
