i have a 3000gt and i have space issues too because i want the subs to fit in a tiny space just behind the back seats

i just got a 8w3 sub the new one from jl and at the shop that i got it at they had it a great lil ported box

wow does that thing ever sound great!!! everyone that has listened to it has said that i atleast have a 10" sub most ppl think it's a 12 somewhere in the car they just can't find it... lol

the box with the sub cost 250 at the shop and i think it's amazing bang for the buck in such a small space

you might even have room for 4 of these subs behind the seats in the mr2 (2 behing each seat)

if you want i can have some pics of the box and size too

Don't know if I can really afford an '08 bike though. I am most likely in the '05-'06 range. Really like the info I've seen on the '08 CBR and if I could find it in the same price range as the GSXR/ZX10 ($11000 new) then I would choose it hands down if I managed to swing an '08.

Found an '06 ZX10 brand new at a dealer for $7500 but I'm doing as much overtime as possible these days so I'll see what happens in a couple months when I'm actually going to buy (unless I find a too-good-to pass-up deal before then).

can someone please help me with building the perfect box. i don't have much to work with, but, i looked up the box that is made for this sub. and its looks like it would be a perfect fit, except for the length, i only have room for about 20" each side, "each side meaning each box, behind each seat" since there is a console in the middle. so what i'm thinking is, shorten it a lil bit, and just build the box higher. would this still sound right??

sorry for bothering you guys again, i just received my subs today and would like to start on the boxes tomorrow. i drew up a picture and would like to here your input. the width and depth cannot be any bigger then what i marked down, but can be smaller, the other measurements i just guess, to get an idea.

the dimension on the manual for the subs say 26.6" W 4.4" D "at the bottom" 2.5" D "at the top" and 11 1/4" H "not shur how it could be that small though, since the sub is around that size"

thanks

nevermind about the boxes.....i took the easy way out. I'm getting a shop to do it for me, i went looking around to test fit some boxes and nothing fit good, they were all wider then 20", so i've asked around and found one of the best places to get some custom made. Its a bit pricey, but he does build nice boxes.

what i really need help with is an amp to power these two pioneer shallow 10" subs "ts-sw1041d", hopefully a small amp that can fit under my seat.

i'll worry about the components a lil later, since i'm tight for cash, i don't feel like getting cheap ones, plus my speakers have nice highs anyways.

thanks guys
