Need Help on Sub Choice

I've got an amp thats rated at 750 rms@4ohm, 1500rms@2ohm, not rated for 1ohm.

Now I'm looking for a sub (or 2, not sure on how many either) that'll use this amps full potential.
I won't be in any comp's, but do want it loud.
I'm sort of leaning to Kicker, Memphis, or MTX as i'm most familiar with these brand lines.

Space isn't much of an issue with my Crown Vic's trunk.

Mostly listen to rap, dance, and little bit of metal

Any suggestions?

(My current 12" L7 pushed by 1000rms @1ohm(different amp) is loud, but looking for a little more)

Thanks for you input

A pair of Digital Designs DD3512 in dual 2 ohm configuration should easily satisy your craving for a loud system with great tonal response as well. (it might also shake your trunk lid off....)

I used to have 2 12", but going to 15" for deeper bass was the best thing i did.

Looks like you've already got a dual 2ohm coil 12L7 and if you now need a 2ohm final load and just want what you have plus some more output a good option looks to be adding a second identical dual 2ohm coil 12L7.

Thanks all for the help so far, keep it coming!!!!

As of right now I'm leaning towards either a solo X 12", LVS 15".
(Kind of looking for used but not used-up/burnt subs.)
Not really looking for a second 12" L7 as the single is going in my truck's back seat.

The Hifonics, RE Audio and Digital Designs subs seem to be good brands but i haven't heard or listened to any of them. (Not sure how they work and don't really want to spend lots of cash on products i don't know/seen/heard, got screwed once before)

Anyway the more suggestions i get will give me more ideas on what direction to go.

Thanks,

If you want it to be louder swapping in a single SoloX 12" would be a let down for you. It will not be any louder with 1500rms compared to a 12L7 with 1000rms and may in fact not be as loud.

A single 15L7 would be a fine option for you as well.
