Angry Need some help, quick!

I just bought a sub and a deck last week. I installed the deck but I had to hold off on the amp due to funds. Today I go to hook up my new amp and sub and the guy didn't tell me the deck doesn't have a subout put! It's a Blaupunk Bahamas MP34. Is there any way i can hook up the sub? Will they exhange it for this reason?

You can split the rear rca out to your sub amp. If you are running your speakers off the deck run the rear rca's right to your sub amp.

use the rear output of your deck and turn the crossover on on your amp {if equipped}. i would talk to the store where you bought your deck cause its much easier to control your sub with a sub out on the deck. hope this helps

Unhappy

If it is ONLY a week old take it back...
Worse case you'll have to pay a restock fee.
But atleast you'll get what you want.
Just a Q...Why would you not of checked if you knew you where putting in a amp and sub?

I don't know why I didn't check, thought all of them had a sub output. Why do I use the RC's to the rear?

Thumbs up

According to this page, Blaupunkt Bahama MP34, there are only 2 sets of pre-amp outputs. Generally the rears will be the ones that may have a sub crossover in the deck, but this page doesn't mention that...

Even if they don't, using the rear outputs will give you, via the fader, some sub level control from the driver's seat....

Yup, take the cd player back and exchange it for one that has a sub output on it. The sales person should have gone through the system with you a little better by the sounds of it.
