Getting 200AMP Alt soon. But didnt want to run amplifiers that would over power that.

Amp Ran for sure is a pdx.4.150 or pdx.4.100 both 60amps though.
So i need advice on a single Amplifier that will do about 2000watts+.
Sub is 4ohm DVC.

I've been thinking of the Hifonics Colossus II...
2 x 600-Watts.....RMS @ 4-Ohms
2 x 1100-Watts....RMS @ 2-Ohms
2 x 1600-Watts....RMS @ 1-Ohm
1 x 2000-Watts....Bridged Mono @ 4-Ohms
1 x 3200-Watts....Bridged Mono @ 2-Ohms

Now this is gonna sound stupid... but 2subs going to 1 channel = bridged?
No.... taking the 2 channels and making them one = bridged.

The big MTX amp or the big DD amp might be one to consider. The second to last MTX amp I brought in came rated for 1500w rms into 1 ohm but was measured at 1968w rms into 1 ohm. That is a amp to consider right there.

And of course there is his bigger brother yet as well.

You have one sub DVC 4 ohm?
Then that is a good amp for it, it will make optimal power at that load. Sounds like a lot of power for one sub.

You would wire the sub to the amp like this:

I thought I read somewhere that you had two subs, not one. Clarify that for us. One sub = 2 ohm, 2 subs = 1 ohm. Macrom has a 1500w rms 2 ohm amp that can be had under the $1000 mark (thanks to being bought on sale - I like buying things on sale as much as the customer does).
