A cap is like a very fast chargin/discharging battery. You put it on the main power line and when your subs demand a lot of juice to push out a huge note, the cap will help maintain the voltage for that split second before it needs to recharge. Basically it helps steady all your power needs.

Anywho, I just took some pics of my half-finished audio, but now that I think about it I suppose I could've taken some pics of my big 3 install for you to see aswell. It'll hafta wait until tomorrow, same with pics of my amps which are in my spare tire well.

*Please note that no fiberglassing or interior recolouration has been done yet, but will be shortly*

You can see my newly installed alarm LEDs as well as the switch (located in the old cigarette lighter) to turn on my 4 channel amp (which powers my front components)

Here you can see how I got my 6.75" mid-drivers to fit, aswell as angled towards the opposite passenger. Please note of how I moved the power side-view mirror button to into the door. I will be installing my tweeters where the door meets the a-pillar and that plastic/fiberglass piece to go there is not done yet. That toggle switch you see on the far left side of my dash is to turn on my sub amp.

Here we see my 0gauge power cable (with both turn on leads) coming in past my sub box into the wheel well, where my 2 amps, distro/fuse block, and all the magic is located. One of the twisted wires goes into the sub (3 feet long) and the other goes up through the back dash into the roof/door edge area to my front mid-driver. This will be joined shortly by another for left tweeter.

Here you see my 3 (fronts/rears/sub) RCA cables coming into the well while riding safely in the comforts of some loom. That twisted cable is for my mid-driver on the right side. That wooden piece protecting my amps from my subs will be carpetted soon, with a single slot cut for each wire hole meaning that the carpet will flow over the cracks, making it look like there are no holes at all.
