Yep, 14 years old, I was like "hmmm, what the hell is that smell. Oh look the speaker stopped working".... not much smoke, just stank like hell.... ALOT of my experience came from trial and error. Good thing people have internet sites that they can ask questions on now before trying dumb stuff.

That just means they know what they're going to do is dumb.....not that that will stop them.....

Everybody loves Magic Smoke the first time.....it's a rite of passage ya know.....

Well I heard my friends system, he turned off the sub and cranked his 6x9 alpine type rs, i like them so im set on a pair of 6.5s amped in the front. My back speakers rattle and sound like garbage, should I just pick up some cheap pair to fix the rattle or get a pair of alpine type r 5.25s coax? will the volume be a lot less clear/loud than the amped speakers?

fade all the way to the front and it wont sound like garbage... but if you like rear fill by the R's for the right size hole. and amp them

actually nvm its a dakota.. u can barely hear the rears anyway.. put some better cheapos in the rear and when its just you in the truck fade to the front.
