No Midbass
#1
I just finished my doorbuilds today and dropped in my Alpine Type X 6.5" woofers. The tweets are still in the process but I hooked up the woofers and they sounded good at the start, but then the midbass disappeared?
I've got them hooked up to a 4-channel amp, I had the gain set about 2.5v , all crossovers on the amp were off and the boost was set at 0db. They are wired into the crossovers if this makes a difference?
Also the deck is set to flat, LPF - off HPF - off, when I fade them in all I hear is loud clear treble but not a hint of bass. I have the deck turned way up and they aren't even visabley moving. Like I said when I first put them in they were hitting nice and hard and clean then it all just went away?

Ummm, are you saying the tweets aren't hooked up to the X-overs?
That presents a dead short to the amp above the x-over frequency, if there's no load on the tweeter outputs!!! Try hooking up the tweeters, or a 4 ohmm resistor, but don't run the amp into the crossover without it all hooked up.
