well now i got my new amp.i'm gonna need new subs."right".i have 2 12" alpine type s in the bleu box. i know i know ****ty box. but price was right.199.99 with 1 year warrenty.
now i want to stay with pg and the guy is trying to sell me 2 tantrum x 12"s for 600
now i can get 2 titaniums for 300 on ebay.
should i go with the ti's or the tantrums
in case you didn't read i got a octane r 15.0.1

the new woofers arrived today, and i can tell you from first hand knowledge. they are awesome. the tantrum is now 2 years old and the ti's are now last years models. i'd wait until you can se the new stuff coming out, the xenon and the zr are very beefy and handle very good power. wait for it, it's gonna be a good one. i got a couple pics of the woofers in my profile.

No offence meant, and I dont know the shop situation in the SUD, but if I got screwed like you mentioned in the other post, I would be trying to get my $$ and amp back first. You have 7 days from time of trade/sale to reneg on it, legally, I am pretty sure.
Secondly, if I did get screwed, but was SOL due to some factor or other and couldnt get my stuff back, I sure as Heck wouldnt be trying to give the same guy MORE business and $$$ by buying subs off of him.

Check the FS section, you can get something out of there, and most of the people there are good to deal with.

Yes, but Titaniums will be going at or below cost in stores in the next few months. You could probably get them for as little as $240 each, in real stores, so you will get all the local support and good warranty that comes with it. And if you reallllly want the new stuff, only put one sub in the box at a time, wait five months, send them away and voila you will get Xenons back.
tantrum-Xs, at cost, cost more then titaniums and the sound isn't that good not to mention the cones are flimsy.
Go with the Titaniums either way.

The ZR's sound pretty good. Not a tweaky woofer, but some good output and a solid thump.
That being said, there are lots of shops within 4 minutes of each other.. Bianco's, Northern, Moonrocks, Future Shop and if it ever really existed, that Audiophile place near the Dairy Queen.. You can pretty much get any brand you want locally, and this time of year, there are deals to be had on last years models.
I didn't follow the entire thread on your amp transaction. No matter what, you owe it to yourself to shop around.. Fire me an e-mail on Saturday before you buy if you want.. dmac at ofsoundmind.com
