It was only a matter of time. Got Screwed
Well it was only a matter of time.
I got screwed by a guy off Ebay.
This guy out bided me on an auction
for an amp. I then contacted him a month later
to try and convince him to sell me the amp.
He agreed, then I paid him top dollar for the amp.
I know that $260.00 u.s. is not alot of money yet it is
when every dollar counts in a one income family home like mine.
So I pay him he says he shipped out the amp. One month goes by,
yet never does he give me a tracking number or proof of shipment.
He then says that the post office in the U.S. told him there is no way
to get tracking info into other countries. Hmmmm so another month goes by
and no amp. Please note that this transaction was outside of Ebay yet I did
send payment via Paypal. The kicker is that when he sent me the money request
he did it as a service not as goods. I didn't see that part in the request and now
Paypal says that it's a service and they can't refund me based on non tangible items.
Some back and forth goes on with this scum bag and then he somehow says that he
now will send me half back in good faith. At this point I will take anything and another month
goes bye and he says that he is securing funds, yet he is buying lots on Ebay.
Then the other day he outbids me on an auction that I was bidding on. What the hell is going on?
So then I ask him why he is doing what he is doing. He says that he is no longer going to
send me anything.
All I wanted was my amp!.
Anyway I just want everyone to be careful when buying things in and out of Ebay and don't be fooled
by positive feedback. You never know what people are really all about.
p.s. his seller id on Ebay is jefferson2166 .

i got screwed on some "new" brake calipers i bought but fortunately paypal got me my money back, minus their $25 take
i told the guy to pay me the rest plus shipping or he's not getting his parts back, so far no contact
now i can sell them, as they are, used

There is an Internet Fraud division of the FBI where you can fill out a claim online.
I'd start there... and be sure that he knows exactly what you're doing and make sure he knows that International Mail Fraud is a felony....
I have some doubts about whether or not the FBI would be able to help you out... but it should at least scare him a bit

where is this guy from ?!?!
personally I like to keep private sales local with people I can meet up with.... and with those who are known to have a good rep.... although I have made 'good faith' purchases before
Hope it works out for ya...

re jefferson2166
I have all the e-mails yet I don't think it's going to do much.
All I can do now is make sure my fellow car audio fanatics know about this scum bag.
Ban jefferson2166 off your bidding list!
