Well i own a 12 year old amp from Thunder Acoustic and it doesn't sound too bad. Only complaint for me is the crossover for subs only go to 60Hz. In all a good 400watt amp. Funny thing is, i don't even think the company exists anymore.

I like the fact that you have a pair of each amp. You'll have gobs of power if you run them to components, say one D100 bridged to each channel.
240x1 could power an average 10. If you have two amps like that, 2 8's or non-high end 10's like you mention would be just fine.

My suggestion??
Get an older pair of subs as well!!!
I've got 10" JL w-5's from their first high end line ever and they're "only" rated @ 250 wrms. I'm feeding them with a soundstream rubi 502 at the moment and they're creating so much spl in the trunk that they're lifting the rear deck off the mounts right now. (see my post in the sub enclosure and desgin section )
