Old School Soundstream Expert Needed...

I apologize that its not a question about the D100 or D200 amps...

I can pickup an old Soundstream Reference 500sx for $150US... I don't really need it but I think its a good price for a 500W amp.

Any thoughts... I know that Soundstream had a problem with the Reference series amps but the SX ones weren't the original series. Did they ever solve that problem in later years or did they just changed the badging on it...

The Reference line had a good track record for performance and reliability and didn't develope problems until later in the production years.

as far as i know the reference line didnt have any problems at all.

but when the rubicon series came out the has some problems.

thank goodness i have only had one problem with one of my 3 rubicon amps. (knock on wood)
