oldschool Alpine

I have a well used but perfect working 7559 am/fm cassette (dolby b & c) with AInet for a CD changer. 6 (f, r, sub) rca outputs, 4v. original manual.
i'd let it go for 100 bucks.
for another 100 bucks i'll throw in a TEAC "studio" cassette recorder (needs a belt) (or maybe motor) and 150 70's, 80's tapes.

i never said the optical cable powered the changer...the optical cable goes from the single din headunit to the changer in the trunk or wherever mounted then all the power connections etc are made there

Wow,that's one very complete setup! I too wouldn't think the cassette changer or head unit would do any D/A conversion, but I am very curious why they would choose to use an optical cable to control anything in that setup, or even to relay control signals instead of aregular electrical signal. The cassette index display is neat; never seen one of those before.
