one sub or two

amp is 900 watts at two ohms should i get two less expensive 2 ohm subs 450-500 watts each or should i get 1 more expensive 4 ohm 900-1000 watt sub ,any suggestions ,very new to this car audio stuff thanks.

I say it depends on how much space you have and what size speakers your thinking of using. Whats your budget?

want to go 12 inch will be on the back seat of dodge dakota what are the pros and cons of using two less expensive sub or on more expensive sub to total about 900-1000 watts

Theres no substitute for displacement. 2 subs would be best but both options would be good with the right sub in a properly designed enclosure.

How much space are you willing to sacrifice?

thanks, thinking about alpine type r for two sub setup or type x for single sub setup are these sub any good

2 12" type r's should be plenty loud in a pickup. Just need a good enclosure design.

2 type r's with 450 watts each in a proper box will be louder than a single type x at 900 watts in a proper box. Type R's are good sounding subs, tough, and relatively inexpensive, the type x is an excellent sounding sub by any standard, and still one of my favourites of all time.
