I am helping a friend build a system and he has a pretty tight budget. I showed him Elemental Designs (they have an awesome new website)

What are peoples thoughts and experiance with their gear?

They also launched a new Home Theatre line. Anyone come accross it, have any opinions? It looks like a solid deal

 

I have owned two of their subs, and currently own one amp. I've really enjoyed all of their gear so far. The subs were both amazing (15A and 16Ov2), though the 15A had an inherent defect that made it fail after 18 months (most of them died far more swiftly than that). Presently running a NINe.2X amp to a 12W7, and it's a hell of a combo. The amp doesn't offer much feature-wise, but so far it's proven itself to be powerful and reliable.

Elemental has their share of detractors in the online community, though. They have jerked some people around in the past, including myself. If their gear wasn't so nice and reasonably priced, I might not speak so well of them. But generally people are pretty happy with their service these days.

The home audio stuff looks like it could be decent for the price. I might grab on of those 5T5s or whatevere they're called for a centre speaker...
