Opinions on my setup

I have a 2000 Honda Accord. I just purchased Infinity Reference 9032cf 6.5's for the front doors and the same model in 6x9's for the rear deck. I also got the alpine f300 v series 4 channel amplifier to drive the speakers. All this is running from a Sony head unit. Being a noob to this I would like some opinions on the setup. Bty, not interested in subs at all. Any feedback is much appreciated while I wait for the equipment to arrive.

First of all, the install will make or break this and any setup.

Your equipment list should sound "decent", but in my opinion, it will lack "depth" and "fullness" in the lower, and very much still audible lower ranges. It's not that you necessarily need a sub, but even with sub, I suggest running at least 200W per channel on a 6.5" component setup, that has an RMS of at least 150W. Ideally, you should have 250W x 2. At that kind of wattage, and the right install, you should be able to get a very broad lower mid range. Just make sure to cross them over appropriately so that they don't hurt themselves.

Since your amp is 50W x 4, or 150W x 2. I'd run it 150W x 2, bridged, to power the front speakers. Then power the rears with the deck's internal amp. You'll get way better over all sound like that then you will at 50W x 4.

If you're dead set against not running a "sub", would you considering running a 3 way setup, with say another pair of 8" woofers? A component setup with a 1" tweeter, 6.5" woofer, and an 8" woofer sound AMAZING, particularly to people that don't like a sound profile that includes a sub like it sounds like you're going for.
