isnt the symmetry a 2 peice unit that controls a processor as well.....or something rather similar?

It is a 2 piece unit.....the first piece is simply a controller for the processor......not a deck......

oh i see now line driver is a processor since alma had full range speakers in her truck....i know line driver is a processor, so is an HU and some parts of the amp.

Father Yuli 03-16-2004 10:27 PM

controler for the processor yes u are right, how is it diff from the deck's Dmac listed? they control a processor in the very similar (althought not the same) manner as the whole symmetry would

Father Yuli 03-16-2004 10:30 PM

Tim i really dont know why u dragging it on? I didnt say that symmetry was a bad unit nor did i say that u were wrong at some point with regards to the original topic. u have your opinion which is totally fine, if u disagree with mine just say so in a mature manner, not via 'brain fart' comments suggest but some dumb ass.

Tim Baillie. 03-16-2004 10:34 PM

Tinted.........to end this once and for all..........you used the term brain fart first...........so don't pin that on me........second as for dragging this on, your the one who has posted more then me during this whole topic.............

You said Alma didn't use processors and she does, you said that decks can't do what the EPX does.......they don't.........

Those are the facts, I don't really care who does or doesn't use processors now in SPL...........

Father Yuli 03-16-2004 10:36 PM

i didnt use the brain fart comment, George did, im not pin it in on u, i know u didnt use it. Alma used processors but NOT for spl, for full range set up in the truck.
Decks alone cant do what symmtry does, Decks with processors as listed by Dmac can do much of it.

Why can't you turn your stuff up, sure you won't have the full amount of use out of your volume knob, but how low do you need an SPL system to play? I know all about matching signal levels in an SQ system but is it really important in an SPL system? I have not heard an SPL system that was not driven intro extreme clipping, why would clipping the signal matter in an SPL application matter?
