Looking at getting some components and was just wondering which of these speakers you folks would suggest?
Polk Audio MMC 6500
Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1
Alpine SPX-177R
All these are around the same price, if there are any others please let me know. Thanks in advance.

I haven't used this model of Type X components, but I did own the older version Alpine SPX-177A and they were awesome for the $. They come with one of the best crossovers I have ever come across in a retail package of components. From what I understand the tweeter in the SPX-177R model has been upgraded to similar technology of the ring radiator tweeter used in the F1 Status components, so I would assume the 177R Type X set would be even better.

I have no experience with the other components listed so I can't give you a comparison.

Hope this helps.

Hello B-Burn, thanks for the info. It was helpful and exactly what I was looking for because you have had "hands on" experience with the Alpine type X's. Hopefully the new type X's are of equal or greater value, thanks again.Anybody know anything about these other comps?
