CANADIAN BUYERS BEWARE!!!

The stuff at Home Depot can have the tendency to peel and/or fall off in extreme cold. As long as it doesn't get too cold where you are, the HD stuff is awesome!

Bob.... I stopped by Rona today and they have the stuff (3 different sizes too)

You can pick it up at the Rona on Innes... just East of the Price Club

Thanks,, if you could snag a name or product brand, that would help me out.

I found out that the peel n seal in Canada is called QuickRoof, it is made by the same company but is pacakged differently for Home Depot.

But, I phoned HD in kanata and they don't stock it, and they're trying to get me some...

PM'd you Jordy too.

I love this post......lets put something in your vehicles that may be a fire hazard.....but its cheap.....so what the hell !!

How about using stuff that is actually engineered and approved for automotive use guys !! Honestly......sometimes its good to look for a deal...other times....just darn stupid !

Cascade Audio, Dynamat, etc, etc......are the right products to use....use them !!

Pay the extra $$$ to get the proper product...or suffer the consequences.

Next you'll be putting in a power inverter and using your home cd player and receiver.....cause its cheaper too. Come on guys.....this is a Car Audio forum...support Car Audio brands....not Rona and Home Depot.

Because there isn't anything else in the car that is flamable

"Support car audio brands" from a guy who works for a distributor... BIG shock there.

At the end of the day this stuff is very comparable to eDead (and others I'm sure), so why spend the extra cash for an almost identical product? Because the person who is selling it to me puts a lable on it that says "for car audio use"

Btw.. I have used this product in my own daily-driver vehicle and have had no problems with it at all. It sticks in the dead of winter as well as the scorching summer.

If it is cold out just use a heat gun to warm it up and off you go.

it may be fire proof....but have you ever noticed how hot a roof can get in the middle of a 30+*C summer? I'm pretty sure this stuff heats up pretty damn toasty, and can handle quite high temperatures...

now..if the car was to catch fire from a crash, I'm sure this product wouldn't exactly help the cause haha.....

To each his own, I myself am looking into this product...any one know of the exact price /sq.ft?

Thanks alot!

**Read $80 for 60sq.ft. Any clarification on that price?

Don't do that - the CD player skips too easily..

Ah - the difference there is it is on TOP of a house roof so gravity (not to mention shingles and nails) hold it in place. Try applying it to the underside of your car roof and see how long it lasts. To be fair, cheap "car audio" products don't always last so well in this situation either.

For the small premium, I'll stay with BQuiet or BrownBread.
