I have had one for 2 years now in my Durango. Great unit. No time correction. I just picked up the AVHP7600DVD for my new ride. I would pick a Pioneer in dash screen over a Alpine any day. But that is just me.

I have not used the Pioneer much, but a friend has it and it has broke two times and it's less than a year old =/

He might have just got a lemon, but FYI it was the exact same thing that broke both times, maybe it wasn't fixed properly or whatever, I'm not sure.

I doubt it would be up to the Alpines in the SQ because of time correction but aside from that it's probably very similar.

The Pioneer 7500DVD I had was an excellent unit and personally I felt the audio section was much better than the Alpine 9835 I had before it.

The 6500 has a different DAC's and I have not auditioned it. No problems with the 7500 though audibly or mechanically.
Time alignment and Auto EQ worked quite well with only some minor tweaking needed to make it perfect.
