Lots of questions in the post so I'll see if I can remember them all.

First of all, yes the DEH-P960MP is a Premier model (the Pioneer DEH-P9600MP is only available in the USA). I think the poster talking about Future Shop & Best Buy meant the DEH-P8600MP which is very similar.

Pro Mode on the DEH-P960MP refers to the built-in crossovers. Most of Pioneer units with built-in crossovers provide front/rear/sub on the preouts but Pro Mode allows you to go high/mid/low on the preouts allowing you to bi-amplify a speaker component set.

Well we'll see if it is worth it this year or not after I see some #s. Can't keep the old one from skipping....to loud. But I say you bet it is Dustio.

I hope u have nothing but good luck with your new deck and i know exactly how excited you are.

I think decks are much more exciting than subs or amps usually (not always) only because you can fiddle around with them for hours and hours.

 

OK today I got to play with it some more. The mic I think (not an SQ guy) does a very good job adjusting the levels, and setting the TA. One thing I noticed after it was all done was it had dumbed down my sub output to -24dB. What do you think it is trying to tell me??? It has some real nice displays, that impressed me alot.
