Please help me fix my amp...
Yeah I get where you are coming from.....I also get where Paul is coming from. He asked why his amp did that and we explain possible reason. My best advice would be to get it fixed professionally and spend the extra cash. Sure he might be able to fix but like I said early its a big risks and one small mistake could turn into more problems.
K kool was not tryin to start any bro I respect you and your skillz am just trying to help out my team mate. And ya Pauls best bet is probably to have it fixed by Atomic I even told him this but if you dont have the money to pay to get it fixed and shipped and you got the skillz and tools to TRY to fix your self more power to ya lol if he does fix it well hey thats fukn sweet and maybe he could fix the twins also but if not I guess he will have to bite the bullet and save up and ship it to get fixed.
Listen... nowhere in this thread (or in conversations) did I say this was anyones fault but my own stupidity. I didn't ask for Jesse or anyones help specifically. I know that this forum has people on it with electrical backgrounds that can help me with this. I'm not a total noob when it comes to electrical. I realize MOST people would just send it out... but spending $350 to have it fixed plus $300 in shipping is simply ridiculous and I can't afford it right now. I wouldn't be able to afford to fix it for months if I have to ship it out and I have no other amp but I do have many electrical "tools" to help me.
So, I'm working on fixing it myself. I just need the right knowledgeable person(s) to help me out. Thanks for everyones suggestions, but it is electronic... ANYTHING electronic can be repaired if you know what to look for. I guess we will see how this weekend turns out.

Rough luck DS..
I think its cool you're giving it a try yourself,
scary cool
Could it have had something to do with the weather change? Condensation etc..
A few weeks ago , the 5 channel soundstream that we use for highs was going in and out of protect.
It would go into protect shortly after the van and stereo was started, it would sometimes come back, when off, then on , etc etc
BUT, after warming the cabin for a bit, the amp wouldnt go into protect anymore.
, but it was scary and annoying, so we swapped in an old clarion instead
We thought it was the condensation, could be wrong, probably are lol.. but I thought Id mention it anyhow.

I truly like this kind of stuff and look forward to learning what is going on and how to repair it.
