Please help me fix my amp...
I've been on bcae1.com for 2 days now, lol. The more I learn about this amp, the more problems I notice...
Part # IR218445 not going to be easy to get a hold of... its the big one, not sure if the little guys are damaged yet or not, but this one is obvious.
Apparently I need to learn Chinese too..

Hey Paul, let me know if u need parts, I'll see what kind of price I can get for them at work. I'll sell them to you at my cost. May or may not be less expensive then getting them some place else. Just let me know I gave you my card back in the summer just send me an e mail to my work or pm me here.

lol, unfortunately yes... I have the part number right. I used a magnifying glass to verify it.
I think they do have a microscopic station too, but I never soldered anything that small before... I may just have to send it out for repair in the spring... finding that part is not going to be easy without taking up a second language, let alone replace it.
Thanks for your help Kev.

Apparently I need to learn Chinese too..remember the fets are only for your HIGH current drive output stage ... something else drives the signal on the +/- rails ? how are the caps on output filter stage? they look clean good condition? or possibly swollen( usually caused by over voltage , i dont think that was your problem)
surface mount are super sensitive to temperature when soldering , be carefull

Ya, thanks Peter... it is the driver board.
I was up to the task till I saw that part damaged... now I'm going to wait and just ship it out in the spring...

a DVM is good if you know that ONLY the fets and BIAS reistors are damaged... but that is rarely the case... something caused them to go into an over current state and blow
Does me no good to call anyone until I have the $$$ to get it fixed. So looks like I got a bad *** paper weight till spring. In the storage room it goes!!!
Thank god for 4ch amps... or I'd have to join "team bassless", lol. Ever seen a pair of TFOnes on 400rms before?
I'm going to meter it later for fun.
