One school of marketing suggests that you don't need to market to the existing enthusiasts, they're already hooked; but market to specificaly related markets in hopes of capturing them.

If your show is through a retailer certainly their suppliers should rep.

you do all have a good point...I will still stand on Nicks side even though his spelling isn't the greatest... the North of the Boarder show is quite large and SHOULD have some corporate support as there are very many spectators of both racing and audio interest

You answered your own question............go where the people are.........reach out to other segments then the car audio ones................everyone wants a stereo of some form..........car audio guys already know about their products.............just like the car guys know their cams and NOS................

Instead of coming on here and sounding sour (many manufacturers lurk on here), make more attractive packaging and address their concerns and objections as to why they don't want to participate in your event.
