perhaps a chance to get some real good speakers on sale? I understand its scan speak top of the line.. the tweeter at least

They don't have the tweeters for sale anymore.

That is exactly what happened to PG (and PPI, and Soundstream, and others). From what I understand they have been sold again and the new owners are trying to make a decent product.
