Popping when turn on?

Ive just figured out that my sub's cone moves forward for 1 second when I turn on the amp (T2-1400), but it dont make any noise. Is this normal ?Will it damage my sub?
Thanks

If your sub is only moving in one direction and holding I would think that your amp is putting out a short burst of dc current when booting up and I would think that as long as its within the excursion capabilites of the woofer and as long as its only for a second < if held in this position to long by dc current alot of heat would build up quickly because of the lack of ventilation that would have been created my normal speaker function > I think you are OK .

However , I have been wrong before and Its just a semi educated guess .

Some amps have quiet on circuitry. And the T2 amps do not. And no it wont damage the sub.
