hi. im new at porting and i was wondering what does having the "flattest frequency response" mean?
also i have a box tuned 37-39 Hz. what kind of sound should i expect? is that a good range to aim for? have 4 10's and my box is 4cu.ft. thanx

flat frequency response means that all frequencies will have approximately the same loudness. if the box does not have a flat frequency response, then it will sound louder at certain frequencies.

your box is a tuned a little high IMO if your looking for SQ. that seems to me more of an SPL tuned box.

so basically, if you want really good SQ, you should be looking for a box with a flat frequency response.
