I've got a set of Alpine SPX-177R 6.5" Type-X components that I bought from Visions in Saskatoon that I may have blown one of the mids on. I've got them running off a Kicker SX600.2 with the gain settings down so I'm putting out about 100 watts at 40/50 volume.


Does anybody know how they are for warranty problems there or can I take them to any Alpine dealer? Is it likely that this might be a warranty issue or am I SOL?

 

You should be able to get away with it on warranty. I've had a few people ask to see my gains when I bring in a blown speaker, so it's not a huge deal.
