Problem please help

hello, ive been having a problem with my system, when i drive while listenin to my stereo, i apply my brake and the bass goes right down, it doesnt turn off, but goes right down enough to faintly hear it but my mids and highs dont fade out like the subs, when i let the brake go the bass does back up, i re-did my ground and it didnt help, when ever i turn my car off the subs make a ''woof'' noise and makes that noise when i hit a bump, could it be my rca's going bad or my amp is done? ive had my system for close to a year and it just started doing this 2 days ago

can someone please help me lol

This is obviously a bad connection somewhere. Try swapping another amp for your sub amp and see if it still does it. Maybe you can borrow one, if not use your other amp temporarily for the sub just to see if it still does it. The size of the amp does not matter for testing. If the problem persists put everything back the way it was and swap something else. I'd try the RCAs next. If you have a signal processor in there try removing temporarily from the signal path. If all else fails it may be the deck. If you suspect it may be faulty, try using a temporary signal source such as an ipod. The headphone output is close to line level and you can turn it up slowly to test your system.

Let us know what you find.

this sounds like a loose connection.
double check all connections, power, grounds, rca. do this for the amps and the deck.. also check that ur rcas are not grounding out on something.. for example the rcas behind the deck maybe shifted and every time u hit a bump or use the brake the rcas shift and ground out on something at the outer shield.
could also be something loose inside the amp itself. if u cant sort it out try swapping out the amp with a friends to see if the same occurs

good luck

Dan
