Question about digital amp and capacitor

hi, i just got my system installed the other day and i noticed my lights are dimming and revs are dropping even though i got a cap.....i bought the cap used but i charged it before installling it....i got the Alpine mrd-m1001 hooked up to one 10" Alpine type x and when im pounding it the amp readin goes from 10.8 to around 14 volts but doesnt stay at a certain point(ideally 14 volts).......any help would be appreciated

simple, caps don't work, do the big three

Just make sure your wiring is solid and you have a good battery..... you can move up to a higher performance battery if you wish, but a larger alternator is generally the only real fix for a daily driver...
