Thumbs up

If you know nothing about how to do this and you're in a hurry to get it in, take it back to FS (or another shop) and get it put in properly.

If you really want to do this yourself, be willing to leave the stuff in the basement for a month or two while you do a lot of reading, start with this thread and learn how to do it right. You have invested enough money into the equipment to make the effort.

There are many steps to take to ensure that the install is safe, secure and will last. A single, general question like yours will not cover everything you need to know without going on for many pages and wind up confusing you to no end.

The introductory paragraph in that thread says it all....it can be done, but it takes time......

I'd highly reccomend that you take it to the pros. If you have to ask about the basics like this, you can very easily cause alot of damage to your vehicle and equipment. I see it all the time. Please get it professionally installed.

yeah...if you don't know the basics, the equipment you have is not the stuff to learn on. Most of the guys on here have been into car audio for a long time and learned the hard way what you should and should not do. I fried a few amps, nearly set fire to my car, and put holes in my speakers when I first started installing my own equipment 20+ years ago, luckily most of it was cheap stuff. Now installing equipment is second nature, but there's been a lot learned over the years. With your significant investment in equipment, I'd get a pro!!
