First and foremost...
I went to a few audio places today looking for subs. I had a price range of up to 3 bills.
It boils down to 3 subs.
A 12' comp VR $250 no box
a 12' JL w3-d4 with a box @ $280
and an MB Quart 12' PWD 304 @ 285 no box
What would you guys decide and why?

I know a bit about the Kicker and the JL but i havent heard of MB Quart for subwoofers. I know they're great for highs and mids... but yeah... if you know Info on MB Quart... posting it here would be nice too!

Thanks a bunch!

The MB Quart is a real sleeper sub, not too many stores use them or promote them. Nonetheless they are also one of the most surprising subs I have had the pleasure of working with in the last 4 years. Build quality is exceptional and a 3 year warranty on the most frequently abused piece of equipment is a nice throw in as well. They will perform great in a sealed or ported enclosure (hear's Dukk to the happy dance). Multi tone bass response and great low end extension, it gets my vote.

All 3 are good subs..... but the Kicker is out of its league here (too much price for its performance) I would recommend the MB Quart woofer as well (one heck of a value for the price) and you would be very happy with the JL too (though the W6 is my fav in that lineup)... I would buy the Quart (one cranky yankee opinion)

The MB Quart.

The W3 can get louder though if that is a major concern. Not too sure what you're looking for with this setup.

I would personally decide to purchase from the internet and get a ED 13kv.2 www.edesignaudio.com, or a ID12v.3 www.sounddomain.com, not only would they end up being cheaper than the 3 subs you mentioned, after shipping and converting to US funds, but would sound better as well.. IMHO

Plus that kicker VR comp is hella overpriced,
but if i needed to pick one of those 3 i would pick the JL W3 all the way, hopefully its the version 2. But i have heard goods things about MB quart subs.

Good luck

We sell MBQuart, and very happy with the line, solid build, excellent sound quality, and fantastic support.
definetly a higher end product, and a keeper(not sleeper) .
